Sunset Celebration is an Art and Craft Show

Sunset Celebration is an arts show which takes place on Mallory Square Dock (see map) every night two hours before sunset until two hours after. The artist selling on site must manufacture each item sold at the festival and only the juried artist will be permitted to set up. Certain classes of items may be closed due to over representation (such as jewelry, tee shirts, etc.) and the jury process may be suspended when the festival is full, so check the website to confirm that the jury date is still scheduled or call (305) 292-7700 between one hour before sunset and one hour afterwards. Each artisan will participate in a nightly seniority based lottery to determine set up space. There is a nightly set up fee. You will be asked to present your tax number and sign a release form prior to setting up.

How to Jury for Sunset Celebration

Thank you for inquiring about participating in Sunset Celebration. Sunset Celebration is an internationally known event that takes place every night on the Mallory Square Dock and Plaza in Key West, Florida two hours before sunset until two hours after sunset. This event has been going on for over 16 years and also features live performances, psychics, caricature artists and arts and crafts persons. Food and beverages are also featured.

If you wish to participate as an twilight artist, artist or crafts person you must present your craft to the participation Committee in person. Click here for a description of the jury process.

You may also submit an application by mail first in order to get feedback without coming to the jury date, however, you still need to appear in person and demonstrate how you make your product to receive an official decision before you would be allowed to sell. Since this is a hand crafted market, no Items created with a computer (Digital Art) are allowed.

If you you jury on a Monday, in most cases you will receive a preliminary decision Monday night, and people who are accepted may begin to work.

If accepted, you must sell one day in the next 30 days to lock in your acceptance.
